ThisAbles, a collaboration between furniture giant IKEA and non-profits Milbat and Access Israel, aims to bridge the gap between its existing furniture and the needs of people with disabilities.
The ThisAbles website provides the public with free files for items such as glass bumpers, easy handles, mega switches, and couch lifts that users can download for 3D printing to make the items themselves to add to existing IKEA furniture.
Existing IKEA accessibility products can also be found grouped in one place on the website, and includes items such as tables that allow seating with a wheelchair and living room furniture that offers easy sitting and standing, and one-handed operation.
To access the the 3D printer files and for more information, please visit the ThisAbles website at https://thisables.com/en/.
